Lieutenant Scott Blaisdell has been with the Rye police department for 20 years. He has been in second command position for 8 years. Over the last 3 years I am aware of 2-time other law enforcement agencies have attempted to recruit him for a training command position. Lieutenant Blaisdell currently teaches at NH Police Academy regularly and holds the second command position on the Seacoast Emergency Response Team (SERT) negotiation unit. Currently, I am President of the SERT Board of Directors. The Commander of the negotiation’s unit is retiring in January of 2022. I am anticipating the other Command staff will be appointing Lieutenant Blaisdell as the Commander of the Negotiating unit.
